Abilities
Abilities are special powers granted to Gems, Metals, and Gem-Humans. They allow the user to do completely inhuman feats such as breathing fire or even manipulating the area around them. A thing that should be known is that not every gem must have an ability. Abilities are not mandatory and if you wish to save an Ability slot for later or just not have the ability just put [Locked] next to Ability 1 and/or 2. When I say save for later use I mean if you don't have enough traits for an Ability you want, you can simly lock it until you have the desired traits.

I. Ability Types
There are three primary types of Unique Abilities available to each race which are:
- Emission: This allows the users to emit a certain aura around their body granting them several buffs such as additional strength, speed, the ability to shoot their aura as beams, etc. This type of power is usually tier 6-5 meaning that anyone can start with them but several are considered Fictional cauging rarity and are in tiers 6-4. There is only 1 of each fictional emission tier ability due to the rarity.
- Body Manipulation: This type of power allows the user to change the physical/ chemical makeup of their body allowing even gem users who are normally made of hard light to be made of metal, smoke, air, etc. These abilities are usually tier 5-3 meaning that you can't start out with it but depending on which you go for they can be earned or purchased rather cheaply. There are body altering abilities known as elemental types which are considered tiers 1-2. These include intangible things such as steam or lava.
- Area Manipulation: Emission abilities have the power to evolve into this when you acquire 500P and you possess Ability mastery as a primary. This ability type alows the user to control the area around them such as generating fire out of nothing or teleporting from one place to the next (Quantum entanglement). These abilities are very rare and only 1 of each can exist causing them to be tiers 0-2. Tier 0 is a slang term for NPC only.
If you have an Ability that doesn't fit into any of these categories you can list it here and a staff member will review it. Reviews and acceptance may take up to a few days so please don't hound the staff as all it will do is motivate them to take longer. The chance of the ability you want being accepted if it is out of these categories usually will be 20% since while we do want variety, a system just makes things easier and doesn't completely put someone above the others at all times (Unless of course they are an Event NPC).

II. Fictional emisions
Fictional emisions are a bit different from the other abilities. Fictional emisions consist of auras that are not present in the real world but rather in the fictional world. Examples of fictional auras are Admantium aura, Psionic Lightning aura, Byzanium aura, etc. More fictional auras can be found here. Staff will be responsible for handling the creation of Fictional Auras. There will always be 4 available Tier 3 Ficitonal auras, 3 available Tier 2, and 2 Fictional aura available for tier 1 at a time. This stops when the total count of Fictional auras reach 15.

- If a character obtains 200 unspent points, they may spend those points to request a special solo or duo SL (Storyline) that has a maximum of 20 posts. At the end of the storyline a staff member will review the SL and reward the requester with one tier 1 through 3 Fictional emission. If it is a duo SL the other participant will get double the usual reward.
- These abilities CANNOT be handpicked by the member who requested one. Two staff members will help pick your ability by reading over your current character sheet and studying your stats, traits, professions, techniques, personality, and the ranks of each skill. Through these studies the staff will pick 6 abilities from the tier list and each will randomly roll limiting the picks to 2 abilities. The requester may then pick between these two abilities which they'd like as their own.
- If a member believes their ability does not correlate with their character in anyway then they may request for a free ability change. If this is not the case the member must wait 3 months and pay up 400 unspent points.
III. Elemental Body Manipulations
Elemental Body Manipulations are the ability to turn ones being into that of the elements such as Earth Wind Fire + more. These abilities are tier 1-2 only as they are very powerful and can't be hurt by conventional means. The tier 2 consists of several copies of the four basic elements: Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. Tier 1 on the other hand only have one of each ability and are known as "Superior elements." These abilities can be found here. The way these are handed out will be handled the exact same way Fictional emissions are except that three abilities will be randomly selected rather than two.
IV .Creating Abilities
Members have the power to create abilities for their character or just create an ability that will be put in the tier list for other members to use. All starting abilities must be tier 6 and nothing higher unless you have Ability mastery as a primary allowing you to be able to start out with tier 5 abilities. To create any ability that is not an emission they must be approved here. Emissions will be looked over in your character sheet.

As stated above, all auras can shoot beams related to their aura. A candy beam will tend to be sticky like gum or an ink beam will change the color of things, etc.

Artifacts
Artifacts are special items with trapped gems who possess abilities unlike no other. Before the Invasion the chance of finding such items were 1/10000. That is because being an artifact was usually a form of punishment and was not welcome by most gems. Nowadays, after 6000 years of study, artifacts can be found in almost every jewelry store due to the current abundance of gems. Some artifacts have stronger abilities than others and are placed in higher Tiers as a drawback.

I. Artifact Ability Types
Much like Unique Abilities listed above, Artifacts possess four type of abilities which are:
[/b][li]Illusion: Illusion artifacts create images to trick others or communicate to characters. AN example would be Lapis Lazuli's mirror. These are in the lower-middle Tiers (6-8) causing them to be not quite as abundant as Enhancements, but not rare enough to be called rare. Sentiece optional. [/li]- Enhancements: Enhancements are non-sentient artifacts that grant the user of the artifact to be enhanced in certain areas in order to adapt to certain situations such heat resistance or a strength buff. This is the lowest Tier (9-10) of artifacts and can be imbued into any item for no cost. Due to all of this they are very abundant and usually extremely cheap. All Stat buffs will be +10.
[li]Morphing: This ability does NOT morph the user. With this ability typing artifacts may morph into various animate, organic, inorganic objects and more. This can help others achieve feats such as flying (Having a plate of armor turn into wings or a flock of birds, etc.). Due to the potential of this ability typing it is being considered Rare and is placed in the high-mid Tiers (3-5). Sentience Optional. [/li]
[li]Mental domination: This ability allows artifacts to get into the heads of the user and things around them to influence their thoughts and actions. This is usually a very evil type of artifact and due to them tethering on the edge of godmodding these abilites are Tiers 1-2 and only 1 of each ability can exist. An example of this ability is Emotion Manipulation which would control the emotions of the user and those around them causing the usually happy to suddenly become very angry, the calm to become impatient, etc. Due to the rarity a max of 5 Tier 1 and 10 Tier 2 types can exist at a time. II. Artifact creation
Jewel crafters have the power to create artifacts to sell to other members or keep for themselves. While creating the artifact the crafter should not be worried about Tiers as the staff will read over the Artifact and notify the crafter of the current Tier before acceptance.
