Character Description
Personality: Having a calm nature, Kyanite is a wise gem that always thinks before he acts. When around other people/gems, he seems to be rather talkative, he enjoys conversing with others as long as he does not impend into their activities. However, he seems to prefer working alone, either on his experimental projects or on field work, but he will always accept help offered though, he just never asks for it. But, from time to time, his nature can take twist and change from the calm and wise to a angry and furious, characteristic observed by the sudden change in eye color. But it is quite rare, as he would only recur to this act when other lives are at stake, and even then he would still maintain his composure. He does not seem to sport much emotions, always having the same attitude, but he still cares for the ones close to him and who wish to help. He believes that unity is the best option.

History:
Being created back in the Homeworld, Kyanite was designed to represent a new type of gem, capable of high mental prowess that would unleash new powers against the Diamond Authorities enemies. Being the first of his kind did not prove too well, as he still had some problems to resolve, notably his distinct appearance that some gems found repulsive. Despite that, he proved his worth by being able to easily disintegrate almost any material. He wasn't the only model that was created, though. Another one existed, but unlike Kyanite it lacked the insight of it's capabilities. Kyan knew that he was a weapon capable of mass destruction, but was shocked when his "brother" presented a glimpse of their true power: pushing his limits, he was able to attain a higher level of being, turning into what Kyan could only describe as "a construct of pure energy". The sheer destructive force was too much to bare, collapsing on his own form and creating a singularity that completely erased any signs of his existence. This experience led Kyan to believe of what horrors the Authority wished to attain.
He wasn't quite fond on the exploits of the Diamond Authority, but he knew he wouldn't be able to act. So he waited, patiently, until an opportunity arrived. That opportunity was Earth. Being drawn out to fight for Yellow Diamond in the war against the Crystal Gems, he tried to ally himself with the Earth's defenders. Alas, it was a lost cause, for they were vanquished and he had to find refuge.
After the victory of Blood Diamond, he saw the opportunity to reestablish peace back on Earth. Working together with other gems and humans, his extensive knowledge of gem technology could bolster their chances in case the Diamond Authority returns.

Kyan possess the ability to project his thoughts inside other's minds. In order to maintain a certain restriction, his words would have different resonances depending on where one is situated. One would hear him better if he faced him, and distance would slowly dim the information. He is also able to manipulate small objects around him, as long as he keeps a max distance of 5 meters from them. He will only be able to control only inanimate objects.
Ability 2: Psionic Lighting:
Focusing his thoughts, Kyan is able to create an element that is stronger than normal lighting. Most of the time, he would create it at the tip of his fingers, launching bolts forward, but he can also coat an area with rampaging lightning, creating small storms that last several seconds; this requires much effort, and can leave him vulnerable. This lighting is also able to cut through other objects, depending on Kyan's intentions.

Development History
Gains/Losses: He once found a bottle that could have led to a possible ground breaking discovery, but he left the search in the hands of other C.U.R.E. personnel.
Due to an event which included the blasting of the Moon base, which would have been fatal for many who work there, Kyanite decided to begin creating special designated C.U.R.E. guard robots, with an updated AI that would permit them to possibly detect threat before an action is done.
